Union County Adult Education wins two state awards at the Celebrate Success luncheon for state adult education programs.
Honorable mention - Palmetto Performers Award - One of the next two top counties after the top five counties with the highest number of high school credentials awarded during 2009-10, based on the census count of their county and number of people lacking a credential. Marlboro and Union were the recipients.
Correctional Education - Career Readiness Certificate for State Prison Award presented to programs that serve incarcerated individuals in a state prison or county jail setting. The \program awarded a minimum of 100 Work Keys CRC credentials for a state prison. Union Greenwood, Lexingtons 2 and 4, Lexington/Richland 5, Richland 1, and Sumter/Lee were the recipients.
