Playing the Recorder

   Recorder Rules

Recorder Rules

Back up straight and feet on the floor.

Teeth not touching so your music will soar.

Make sure your fingers completely cover the holes

and remember to blow softly, an important thing to know.

Left hand should always be on top.

Remember these steps and your sound won’t flop!

Playing the recorder is easy and fun

when you follow these rules beginning with number one.

Boomwhack Attack!
Students learn to read melody
using musical tubes
called Boomwhackers.
Yes, we even get to whack the
floor with them! What fun!
