MR. JOE WALKER, PRINCIPAL

 

Welcome to Union County High School!  We are excited about the 2010-2011 school year.  We are proud of our rich heritage and traditions that we have coming together with our students, families, and faculty/staff.  Our theme this year is "Choice: Good Choices Lead to Great Futures!"  and we expect everyone associated with Union County High School to be conscious of our slogan.  We hope you will visit with us at school, at extracurricular events, and other opportunities this year.

MR. BILL PRICE

Assistant Principal

Mr. Price graduated from Chapman High School and received a BA in history from Wofford College. He later received education certification in social studies from Wofford. He attended Converse College and received a Masters Degree and certification in Education Administration and Supervision. This is Mr. Price is serving as an assistant principal at Union County High School.

 

 

MRS. KATHRYN HINES

Assistant Principal

 

Mrs. Hines graduated from Fred T. Ford High School in Newton, North Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree in English with a minor in music from Appalachian State University. Mrs. Hines received a Masters in Secondary Leadership and Supervision from Converse College. She is currently serving as assistant principal at Union County High School and as an English teacher at the Union County Achievement Academy.

MR. LEMOND VANDERFORD

Principal, Ninth Grade Academy

Assistant Principal

Mr. Cooper is a lifelong resident of Union County, having graduated from Lockhart High School. He graduated from Winthrop College with a Bachelor's degree in mathematics and earned a Master's degree in Secondary Administration and Supervision from Converse College. Mr. Cooper is currently serving as assistant principal at Union County High School.

 

 

 

 

Mr. Vanderford is also a lifelong resident of Union County, having graduated from Lockhart High School. He graduated from Winthrop College with a degree in Secondary Math Education. He received his first Master's degree in Elementary Education from Converse College and he received his second Master's degree in Secondary Administration and Supervision from Converse. Mr. Vanderford is currently serving as Principal of the Ninth Grade Academy at the Union County High School.
