Second grade students at JEMS will participate in Gifted & Talented testing October 12–16, 2026. During the week, students will take the CogAT and Iowa assessments, which help measure students’ natural abilities to think, solve problems, and learn.
No special preparation or studying is needed for these assessments. Families can help students be ready by making sure they get a good night’s rest, eat a healthy breakfast, arrive at school on time, and avoid scheduling appointments during the testing week when possible.
Most importantly, encourage your child to listen carefully, take their time, and do their best. We are proud of our second grade Wildcats and know they will do a great job!
