Content standards were designed to encourage the highest achievement of every student, by defining the knowledge, concepts, and skills that students should acquire at each grade level. Teachers across the state helped create the content standards we use in South Carolina. In Union County, our teachers use the SC College and Career Ready Standards as a guide to plan instruction and to facilitate learning for students.
