Our Agriculture students recently came together to design and build a catapult for their team —but this project was about much more than engineering. It was a hands-on lesson in teamwork, one of the most important soft skills in both agriculture and life.
In the agricultural world, no job is done alone. From planting and harvesting to managing equipment and solving problems in the field, collaboration is key. Farmers, ranchers, agribusiness professionals, and scientists work together every day to feed and sustain our communities.
By working side-by-side, our students learned how to communicate, share responsibilities, solve challenges creatively, and celebrate successes as a team—skills that will serve them in any career they choose. In agriculture, teamwork doesn’t just grow crops—it grows leaders!
